Impressed by my Enemy Zero prototype, I was asked by a Kyushu University professor to build custom XR software for their research regarding tactical experiences in XR.

The project again made use of Unreal, OpenXR, and Meta's own VR SDK. The software was developed in C++ and targeted the Meta Quest 3.

I implemented custom AR-style real-time passthrough rendering using Meta's spatial anchor system. I also developed a custom menuing system and numerous quality of life features (such as experiment data serialization) for the conducting researchers.
